New hip replacements are metal on metal. They make a dust which enters the rest of the body and increases cancer risk. Any info out there on this?

| What do you know about metal on metal hip replacement or metal dust causing cancer? My husband's doctor is suggesting that he enter into a trial study on this new type of hip replacement. The doctor warned that metal dust will be created due to the rubbing of the 2 metal surfaces and will enter the entire rest of the body. Theres a growing mass in their body, I would think that the cancerous tumour may increase the weigh of the victim by a pound or so. So then for what reason does the victim lose weigh significantly Many people have stated tat it is because the cancer cells uses up all the energy but that wouldnt make sense. Cuz the cancer cells are in the victim's body and even if the victim's normal cells weigh less and die out, there will be alot of cancer cells to make up for that weigh.
