Please can anyone tell me the approx % by which energy prices have risen since the beginning of April 2008 as my supplier has increased my direct debit payments by a total of 56%, despite the fact that I have never been in a negative balance since 2006 and my average credit balance has been £222.37!

| Help with an environmentally unfriendly neighbor? I read in a magazine that one thing we can all do to help the environment is to create a compost pile for all your waste, then use it as fertilizer in your garden. So I made a large box out of chicken wire and started dumping my biodegradable waste into it. But yesterday, when I changed the oil in my Suburban and my F250 and dumped it into the compost bin, my hippie neighbor came out yelling and told me not to dump it there. I would have thought she knew about composting but apparently not. I guess she wants me to destroy the earth by dumping it into the river like I normally do. | A good alternative to plastic water bottles? My workplace is picky!? I'm a cashier at a local Wal-Mart, an extremely BUSY and INSANE Wal-Mart (nothing like the commercials, lol) You get thirsty really fast with all the nonstop orders and crazy people. So we're allowed to keep a water bottle up at our register. They tell us it has to be the standard size, and it has to be CLEAR. The plastic water bottle. :/ I hate plastic water bottles, they're so bad for the earth, and when I get ONE (one at a time lol), I try to re-use it and re-use it until it gets so old I can taste the plastic. (which isn't long, maybe a month if I'm lucky). So I still feel guilty using these plastic bottles. Does anyone know of a good alternative? Like I said, the restrictions are, it's gotta be standard bottle size, and clear? (I've tried buying clear plastic sportsbottles, but they're basically the same thing!) I'm not sure such a thing could even possible exist outside of plastic, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask! Oh, and we're not allowed glass. For safety reasons.
