| What do you think of my writing?? Easy 10 points :)? I'm trying to get the feeling of sadness and anger accross to the reader. Does it work ?? What can I do to improve it ?? Please don't be too harsh-- I'm only 13 and I've done my best to describe my reaction to animal cruelty :( 10 points for best answer-- please help I plonked myself down heavily onto the sofa and breathed a sigh of relief, At last- the weekend was here!! HUmming to myself in excitement i switched on the tv and settled myself down. Finally, I thought to myself, I could relax and enjoy myself. The Simpsons should be in 5 minutes, followed by Hollyoaks and then Friends. Heaven on Earth!! Penelope Cruz flashed across the screen as the loreal advert drew to a close.. Suddenly the atmosphere changed as the next advert appeared. A sorrowful lullaby tinkled in the background as the camera showed the heart-wrenching images floating accross the screen. A forlorn, solitary kitten looking desperatly into my tear-brimmed eye. A defenseless puppy whined in distress and pain as he was abused by his owners, he was still looking at them for love. A tear escaped my eyes as a pitifully scrawny rabbit peered hopefully out of a rubbish bin, discarded as waste, left to die. Scenes of torment, torture, terrifing cruelty befell upon the innocent faces of trusting animals. I felt my overwhelming dispear wave over me as a woman's gentle voice weaved it's way towards me; " Every year 6840 animals die as a result of animal cruelty. Please. Help us to help them." It was a crippling thing, this sensation of being stabbed with thousands of needles again and again, leaving ragged unhealed gashes around the edges that continued to bleed despite the paggasge of time. Rationally, I knew that my lungs must be intact, yet I gasped for air and my head spun like my efforts yielded me nothing. The sheer grief, pain, anger welled up inside me like a short sharp stab of incandesant fury. How could people be so cruel!! ?? How could they treat those poor animals in such a way!!?? A red blazing fire clouded my vision. Hot blistering sores bubbled their way under my soul. A cresendo of screaming questions rose up into my head. How !! ?? Why!!?? Who!!??
